Blockchain technology firm Bitfury has announced the release of a comprehensive suite of products designed to make the use of Lightning Network easier for vendors and consumers.<\/p>\n

These include an open-source Lightning wallet, hardware and software tools for merchants and payment processors to accept payments as well as developer tools and a public lightning network node called \u201cThe Peach\u201d to let Bitcoin users open or create payment channels.<\/p>\n

The products were created and are supported by Bitfury\u2019s Lightning Network engineering and research team, Lightning Peach.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Lightning Network will enable people to use Bitcoin in their everyday lives,\u201d said Valery Vavilov, CEO of Bitfury. \u201cBy providing these products to the market, Bitfury is encouraging worldwide adoption of this technology and providing unparalleled support to consumers and merchants.\u201d<\/p>\n

Peach Wallet<\/h3>\n

\"NewAccording to blog post<\/a> (removed for some reason but still available in a web cache), Peach Wallet is a free, cross-platform mobile wallet that enables users to explore and experiment with the Lightning Network. It combines our own user-friendly application and payment server solution with additional features and is compatible with all existing implementations of the Lightning Network.<\/p>\n

Peach Wallet\u2019s key features enable users to send and receive payments both within the Lightning Network using payment requests and on-chain payments with regular transactions in the Bitcoin Blockchain. It also makes it possible to create a custom channel via a Lightning address ID and the host IP of a peer and to send and receive payments within the Lightning Network via the Lightning ID address book.<\/p>\n

Another notable feature is recurring payments for subscription services between Lightning Peach users, which is useful when paying per-second or per-minute charges, such as video or voice calls.<\/p>\n

Peach Commerce<\/h3>\n

Peach Commerce is a suite for both individual merchants as well as the payment processing companies to easily start accepting Lightning Network payments. Payment processors can use a web-based Peach API to add support for Lightning into their existing back-end infrastructure with minimal time and investment. The Peach Merchant plugin provides easy-to-use tools for individual merchants to start accepting Lightning Network payments. The Peach Merchant Plugin enables merchants to connect with customers directly on the Lightning Network and receive payment for the sale of goods and services by providing an easy-to-use interface to use our hub or the user\u2019s own node to receive payments.<\/p>\n

Peach Terminal<\/h3>\n

The Peach Terminal is a cashless payments device for vending machines and point of sale terminals that provides hardware support for instant and low-cost bitcoin payments. The Peach Terminal is a fast and secure way to process payments while protecting customers\u2019 personal information.<\/p>\n

The release of Peach Wallet and other tools follows integration of Lightning Network technology for use on cryptocurrency exchange BTCBIT last week. As detailed in a Medium post<\/a>, the integration would \u201chelp more people use Bitcoin in their everyday lives in a faster and more convenient way.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last year, Bitfury Group announced a partnership with blockchain-based payment processing system Paytomat, linking Paytomat\u2019s digital wallet and merchant app to the Lightning Network.<\/p>\n

Earlier that same year, the company launched its new enterprise grade Bitcoin miner, the Bitfury Tardis<\/a>, described as the latest generation of the B8 mining server.<\/p>\n
