A year earlier the platform applied for a licence to operate as an electronic money issuer. The company<a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.news\/gemini-poluchila-litsenziyu-operatora-elektronnyh-deneg-v-irlandii\/\"> \u0430\u0432\u0442\u043e\u0440\u0438\u0437\u043e\u0432\u0430\u043b\u0438<\/a> in this capacity in March 2022.<\/p>\n<p>In 2020, Gemini<a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.news\/finansovyj-regulyator-velikobritanii-akkreditoval-bitkoin-birzhu-gemini\/\"> \u043f\u043e\u043b\u0443\u0447\u0438\u043b\u0430 \u043b\u0438\u0446\u0435\u043d\u0437\u0438\u044e <span data-descr=\"Financial Conduct Authority\" class=\"old_tooltip\">FCA<\/span><\/a> to operate with digital assets in the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in July, it emerged that the platform was cutting staff in a second round of layoffs.
