ForkLog is happy to announce that our own Lighting node is now live and running. The setup has been completed and the node can be found at ln.forklog.com.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe decided to launch our own Lightning Network node because we really want to support this technology focused on enabling micro transactions in Bitcoin network,\u201d<\/strong> said Anatoly Kaplan, CEO of ForkLog.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

No need to worry if you see the \u2018Website is not available\u201d message in your browser. Below is the description of the entire process of connecting to the node and opening a channel with ForkLog.<\/p>\n

This is how you do this with Lightning Wallet (Android version only).<\/p>\n

After downloading and installing the wallet, make sure you do all the necessary back-ups and save the mnemonic phrase.<\/p>\n

Step 1. Top up your wallet.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Step 2. Choose the Bitcoin sign in the bottom right corne<\/strong>r.<\/p>\n

Step 3. Choose ‘Open new channel’.<\/p>\n

Step 4. Now you can see the list of the reachable nodes.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Step 5. Now search for Forklog. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Step 6. After choosing Forklog, you can see the channel settings window.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"BitcoinStep 7. Send some Bitcoins to the channel you are opening. The minimum amount is 300K satoshis (0.003 BTC). We decided to send 600k satoshis (0.006 BTC).\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Step 8. Now you have to decide on the miner fees.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Step 9. Almost ready! Now you can that your channel is Opening. In a short while it will be fully opened and you can enjoy making Lightning transtactions.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
