The Celsius Network, a crypto-lending platform, suffered a data breach caused by the compromise of the email service Customer.io. The company said this in an email, The Block<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n

Celsius does not regard the breach as posing high risk to users. The company notes, however, that the incident represents a serious breach of the provider\u2013client relationship and has alerted the relevant authorities.<\/p>\n

Initially, Customer.io stated<\/a> that its users’ data were not affected, Celsius said. However, the service later confirmed the breach of Celsius users’ email addresses.<\/p>\n

Celsius says it deleted all data that had been transmitted to Customer.io immediately after the incident was reported.<\/p>\n

Experts warned that Celsius users could face a wave of phishing attacks.<\/p>\n
