Cryptocurrency enables the country to circumvent sanctions and purchase imported goods.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>In the same year, President Hassan Rouhani <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/iran-imposes-a-full-ban-on-cryptocurrency-mining-until-september\">announced<\/a> a temporary ban on cryptocurrency mining due to electricity shortages.
