The S&P Global Ratings agency downgraded Coinbase’s corporate credit rating from \u201cBB+\u201d to \u201cBB\u201d, while maintaining a \u201cnegative\u201d outlook. CoinDesk reports this.<\/p>\n

Analysts cited weak revenues and competitive pressure as the basis for the decision.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis year the company’s market share declined. Combined with the increased risk of margin compression, the volatility of revenue, EBITDA and EBITDA margins relative to previous assessments, this forced us to reassess the financial risk,\u201d<\/em> the experts explained.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The rating action was also driven by \u201cuncertainty regarding the duration of the crypto winter and the potential for further declines in market share,\u201d they added.<\/p>\n
