Reuters reports.<\/p>\n<p>According to the authorities, a group of local residents systematically obtained funds from crimes committed abroad. Subsequently, the assets were converted into cryptocurrencies on various digital platforms.<\/p>\n<p>The fraud targeted the French Treasury.<\/p>\n<p>Police did not provide further details about the alleged offenses.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the arrest of the three principal suspects, several others were detained for questioning.<\/p>\n<p>The investigation was conducted over several months in cooperation with Europol and the French police.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Dutch authorities <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/in-amsterdam-authorities-arrest-alleged-tornado-cash-developer\">arrested <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/v-amsterdame-arestovali-predpolagaemogo-razrabotchika-tornado-cash\/\">Alexey Pertsev<\/a><\/a>, the developer of the Tornado Cash mixer.
