The head of Citi’s forex department, Itay Takman, after 20 years with the bank, will pursue a career in the digital assets industry. The Block<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n

Takman was a key architect in integrating the new asset class into the product lineup of one of the largest universal banks in the United States.<\/p>\n

According to the publication, over the past year at least 15 senior Citi executives have moved to work at companies such as Copper, Coin Fund, Paxos, Genesis, and Provenance.<\/p>\n

In November 2021, Citigroup announced the launch of \u0441\u0444\u043e\u043a\u0443\u0441\u0438\u0440\u043e\u0432\u0430\u043d\u043d\u043e\u0433\u043e \u043d\u0430 \u043a\u0440\u0438\u043f\u0442\u043e\u0432\u0430\u043b\u044e\u0442\u0430\u0445 \u043f\u043e\u0434\u0440\u0430\u0437\u0434\u0435\u043b\u0435\u043d\u0438\u044f<\/a> within its Institutional Clients Group. 100 specialists were planned to be hired for the new business unit.<\/p>\n

In June, the financial conglomerate, together with infrastructure company Metaco, began work on \u043f\u0438\u043b\u043e\u0442\u043d\u044b\u043c \u043f\u0440\u043e\u0435\u043a\u0442\u043e\u043c \u043f\u043b\u0430\u0442\u0444\u043e\u0440\u043c\u044b<\/a> for storing and managing digital assets.<\/p>\n

In August Citigroup \u0440\u0430\u0437\u043c\u0435\u0449\u0438\u043b<\/a> two vacancies for risk managers in the digital assets sphere.<\/p>\n
