Access to the new option will be available in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>The head of Public Relations and Reputation at <span data-descr=\"Wasabi Wallet, the developer company\" class=\"old_tooltip\">zkSNACKs<\/span> Karo Zagorus in comments to <a href=\"https:\/\/decrypt.co\/109019\/trezor-and-wasabi-join-forces-to-make-bitcoin-more-private\">Decrypt<\/a> clarified that talks with Trezor began in 2019. He said the result is a &#8216;phenomenal achievement&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>The Wasabi team added that work on the anonymization technology is a response to intensifying government oversight. Financial transactions could ultimately be used to track citizens, they noted.<\/p>\n<p>In November 2020, the developers of the privacy-focused Bitcoin wallet <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/wasabi-wallet-team-to-simplify-anonymous-bitcoin-transactions-with-2-0\">announced the release of a new version<\/a> of Wasabi Wallet. It is intended to simplify conducting confidential transactions by automating mixing via CoinJoin.<\/p>\n<p>In spring 2021, the Trezor team reminded <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/trezor-touts-strong-protection-against-government-attempts-to-hack-wallets\">of the hardware wallet&#8217;s high security<\/a> against hacking attempts. The statement came amid plans by U.S. authorities to create a tool to bypass protections and gain access to crypto assets.<\/p>\n<p>On August 8, the <span data-descr=\"Office of Foreign Assets Control of the U.S. Department of the Treasury\" class=\"old_tooltip\">OFAC<\/span> added the cryptocurrency mixer <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-the-tornado-cash-mixer-and-why-was-it-sanctioned\">Tornado Cash<\/a>, and related 39 Ethereum and 6 USDC addresses, to the sanctions list.<\/p>\n<p>In the industry-based advocacy group Coin Center, they stated that the agency <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.news\/coin-center-namerena-obzhalovat-resh\u0435\u043d\u0438\u0435-ssha-v-otnoshenii-tornado-cash\/\">overstepped its authority<\/a>.
