The instrument has been listed on the Euronext platform, according to <a href=\\\"https:\/\/www.theblock.co\/post\/173669\/blackrock-launches-etf-in-europe-with-blockchain-and-crypto-company-exposure\\\">The Block<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>The iShares Blockchain Technology UCITS ETF tracks the performance of the NYSE FactSet Global Blockchain Technologies index, which is based on the price movements of 35 international companies. The fund&#8217;s shares trade under the ticker BLKC.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>75% of the index&#8217;s total weight is formed by blockchain firms&#8217; stocks, including miners and bitcoin exchanges, while 25% comprises companies that support the digital asset ecosystem, including payment services and semiconductor manufacturers.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p><span data-descr=\\\"Total investor costs\\\" class=\\\"old_tooltip\\\">TER<\/span> stands at 0.5% of <span data-descr=\\\"Assets under management\\\" class=\\\"old_tooltip\\\">AUM<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\\\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\\\">\n<p><em>\\&#8221;Cryptocurrencies and blockchain will become increasingly relevant for our clients as their use cases scale and become more complex,\\&#8221;<\/em> said Omar Mufti, product strategist for thematic and sector ETFs at BlackRock.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>The company manages<a href=\\\"https:\/\/ir.blackrock.com\/financials\/quarterly-results\/default.aspx\\\">assets worth $9.5 trillion<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>In August 2022, BlackRock<a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/blackrock-launches-bitcoin-trust-for-institutional-clients\"> launched a Bitcoin Trust<\/a> for institutional clients.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>Earlier <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/blackrock-to-offer-clients-access-to-cryptocurrencies-via-coinbase-prime\">Coinbase agreed to collaborate<\/a> with BlackRock. Clients of the latter will gain direct access to trading digital assets through the Aladdin portfolio management system.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>In April 2022, the CEO of the asset-management firm, Larry Fink, <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/blackrock-chief-larry-fink-signals-interest-in-cryptocurrencies\">said<\/a> that expansion into the cryptocurrency market was possible.
