The information emerged at the Plan \u20bf conference, attended by Mayor Michele Foletti and <span data-descr=\\\"chief technology officer\\\" class=\\\"old_tooltip\\\">CTO<\/span> Paolo Ardoino of Tether.<\/p>\n<p>The move followed a joint initiative to turn Lugano into the \u001cEuropean Bitcoin capital,\u001d which the parties <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/tether-to-turn-swiss-lugano-into-europes-bitcoin-capital\">announced in February<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the blockchain-hub development collaboration, Tether said it would allocate <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/tether-to-launch-chf100m-fund-as-lugano-cements-blockchain-hub-status\">no less than 100 million Swiss francs<\/a> (~$107 million) to a dedicated fund.
