This was stated by Anatoly Aksakov, head of the State Duma committee on the financial market, according to TASS.<\/p>\n<p>According to the official, all introduced restrictions \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/aksakov-restrictions-on-russians-by-bitcoin-exchanges-another-argument-against-legalising-cryptocurrencies\">closure of official representations of Western crypto exchanges<\/a> in Russia\u201d can be easily circumvented.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\\\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\\\">\n<p>\u201cThey closed it, but de facto nothing has changed. There is an office in the virtual space there as well, not at any address in Moscow or Cheboksary. Accordingly, people located in Russia, China or America can use this office,\u201d said Aksakov.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In response to the new sanctions package, Russia will push ahead with developing modern technologies.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\\\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\\\">\n<p>\u201cIt is clear that we will develop our own digital blockchains for the turnover of digital financial assets. The next year will be the year of digital financial assets in Russia, you\u2019ll see,\u201d the official stressed.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Earlier, Aksakov proposed legislatively <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/russia-again-seeks-penalties-for-bitcoin-payments\">to prohibit the use of cryptocurrencies<\/a> as a means of payment on the territory of Russia and to hold those who transact in them liable.<\/p>\n<p>As noted, the law on DFA was enacted in 2020 and took effect on 1 January 2021.<\/p>\n<p>In June 2022, a bill was submitted to the State Duma providing for <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/russia-drafts-bill-imposing-fines-up-to-1-million-rubles-for-illicit-issuance-of-digital-assets\">administrative liability<\/a> for illegal issuance and exchange of DFAs.<\/p>\n<p>In the same month, Anatoly Aksakov introduced a bill proposing <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/duma-introduces-bill-to-ban-the-use-of-digital-assets-as-a-means-of-payment\">a ban on the use of DFAs<\/a> as a means of payment on the territory of the Russian Federation.
