Both companies are subsidiaries of the Digital Currency Group, Barry Silbert.<\/p>\n<p>Grayscale expects that the bear market in the crypto industry will create opportunities to buy bitcoin mining equipment at significantly reduced prices.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">3\/ Past events are not indicative of future results, but looking at past cycles in the mining industry, we believe there may soon be opportunities to purchase mining equipment at steeply discounted prices. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/8ObNqzapSt\">pic.twitter.com\/8ObNqzapSt<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Grayscale (@Grayscale) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Grayscale\/status\/1578006612752883718?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 6, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;Our team has long sought to lower the barrier to investment in the crypto ecosystem\u2014from direct access to digital assets to diversified thematic products, and now infrastructure via GDIO,&#8221; said Grayscale CEO Michael Sonnabend.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The operator of the <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/foundry-mining-pool-leads-hash-rate\">largest<\/a> bitcoin mining pool, Foundry, will provide the day-to-day management of the new structure.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;As part of the mission to expand decentralised infrastructure capabilities, we are pleased to collaborate with Grayscale to broaden investment options in bitcoin mining at this opportune time,&#8221; said Foundry CEO Michael Colyer.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Investments in GDIO are available to qualified individual and accredited institutional investors.
