The team said the measures are tied to European sanctions.<\/p>\n<p>On 6 October 2022, the EU <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/eu-fully-bans-cryptocurrency-services-for-russians\">approved<\/a> the eighth package of sanctions against Russia, which prohibited Russians from owning cryptocurrency wallets in the eurozone.<\/p>\n<p>Russian citizens and residents will also be unable to create accounts or hold digital assets in the EU, regardless of the deposit amount.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;Our payment-processing and custody-services partner complies with EU rules. He has asked us to take action regarding accounts belonging to those affected by the 6 October restrictions,&#8221; the statement said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>According to the press release, users in Russia can no longer buy, sell, or gift NFTs, nor perform other operations on the Dapper Labs platform.
