According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2022-10-21\/crypto-platform-polkadot-co-founder-gavin-wood-drops-ceo-role\">Bloomberg<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>According to the report, his place will be taken by the project\u2019s co-founder Bjorn Wagner. Wood will remain a majority shareholder in Parity.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-text-wrappers-update-2 article_update\"><time class=\"gtb_text-wrappers_update_time\">21 October 2022 | 19:51<\/time><span class=\"gtb_text-wrappers_update_head\">Update: <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Wood, in a statement to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2022\/10\/21\/polkadot-co-founder-gavin-wood-steps-down-from-ceo-role-at-blockchains-builder-report\/\">CoinDesk<\/a> confirmed his decision. He said he will focus on making Polkadot &#8220;more accessible to the wider public&#8221; in his new role as chief architect.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Earlier, Parity Technologies representatives told ForkLog <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/parity-technologies-announces-three-senior-leadership-appointments\">about new appointments in the leadership<\/a>. On the post of Chief Operating Officer, Eran Barak was appointed; the post <span data-descr=\"Chief Financial Officer\" class=\"old_tooltip\">CFO<\/span> was taken by Fahmi Sayed, <span data-descr=\"Chief Marketing Officer\" class=\"old_tooltip\">CMO<\/span> \u2014 Peter Ruchatz.<\/p>\n<p>In September, the organization <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/parity-technologies-unveils-polkadot-roadmap\">published a project roadmap overview<\/a> for the project. Developers focused on areas such as scalability, improvements, and interoperability between parachains, Relay Chain governance, staking, and bridges to other ecosystems.<\/p>\n<p>In August, <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/michael-saylor-to-step-down-as-microstrategy-ceo\">Michael Saylor stepped down from the CEO role<\/a> at MicroStrategy, but remained chairman of the board.<\/p>\n<p>A month later, <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/jesse-powell-to-step-down-as-kraken-chief-executive\">Kraken co-founder Jesse Powell made a similar announcement<\/a>.
