By contrast, in the fourth quarter of 2021 there were 26.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>The fund became the fourth at a16z. In total the firm has raised more than $7.6 billion for these purposes \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/andreessen-horowitz-launches-third-crypto-fund-worth-2-2-billion\">$2.2 billion in the third<\/a> and $965 million in the first two.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>In April, Andreessen Horowitz <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/andreessen-horowitz-opens-research-lab-for-web-3-0\">opened<\/a> a division for research into cryptocurrencies and other Web3-related technologies.
