In 2021, the partners opened <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/moneygram-to-offer-bitcoin-access-at-its-branches\">the ability to buy and sell bitcoin<\/a> for fiat at MoneyGram&#8217;s agent locations.<\/p>\n<p>MoneyGram also <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/moneygram-uses-stellar-blockchain-and-the-usdc-stablecoin-for-settlements\">utilised the Stellar blockchain<\/a> to facilitate local-currency payouts in transfers of Circle&#8217;s USD Coin (USDC).<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\\\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\\\">\n<p>\u201cCryptocurrencies complement everything we do at MoneyGram.
