This was stated by the Caribbean nation\u2019s prime minister Terrence Drew at the Bitcoin Cash 2022 conference, according to <a href=\\\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/policy\/2022\/11\/14\/bitcoin-cash-could-be-legal-tender-in-st-kitts-by-march-prime-minister-says\/\\\">CoinDesk<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He said that the legalization of the digital asset in the country could take place as early as March 2023. Drew \u2014 who is also Saint Kitts and Nevis&#8217;s finance minister \u2014 announced consultations with experts and the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\\\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\\\">\n<p>\u201cOur nation has always been a forward-looking leader in exploring new industries,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>According to the prime minister, the cryptocurrency revolution could bring \u201chuge advantages and opportunities for business.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>If approved, Saint Kitts and Nevis would become the third country to recognise cryptocurrency as legal tender.
