Global compliance <\/p>\n<p>More coming soon\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Huobi (@HuobiGlobal) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HuobiGlobal\/status\/1597924309934247936?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 30, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>According to a press release, the decision was taken by Huobi&#8217;s advisory council to bolster the platform&#8217;s globalization strategy.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThe two exchanges will cooperate across multiple business areas, including the HT native-token ecosystem, project connectivity, liquidity sharing, and global compliance, aiming to create the best trading platform in the world and win users&#8217; trust,\u201d the statement reads.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The company added that starting in December the advisory council will begin to evaluate all projects on Poloniex on a monthly basis. The best among them will receive a listing on Huobi, full support from the exchange, and access to its users.<\/p>\n<p>In 2019, Justin Sun, founder of the Tron Foundation, together with a group of investors, acquired Poloniex. He initially denied his involvement in the deal. <\/p>\n<p>In October 2022, Huobi Global agreed <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/huobi-global-agrees-to-sell-controlling-stake-to-hong-kong-based-about-capital-management\">the sale of a controlling stake<\/a> to the Hong Kong investment company About Capital Management. The financial terms were not disclosed.<\/p>\n<p>According to journalist Colin Wu, the ultimate <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/media-outlets-name-justin-sun-as-huobi-buyer-tron-founder-denies-rumours\">beneficiary of the purchase became Sun<\/a>. The amount could have been up to $1 billion. The founder of the Tron Foundation said he did not participate in the deal. Representatives of the exchange clarified that he joined the advisory council.<\/p>\n<p>Later, Sun <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/huobi-token-climbs-85-in-a-week-as-justin-sun-reveals-a-large-ht-stake\">stated a large stake in HT tokens<\/a> and plans to support a rise in the asset&#8217;s value.<\/p>\n<p>In November Wu, citing sources, reported a possible merger of Huobi and Poloniex.
