The report came from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2022-12-02\/zipmex-crypto-exchange-to-get-100-million-buyout-from-v-ventures-fund?leadSource=uverify%20wall\">Bloomberg<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The deal is valued at about $100 million in digital assets and fiat, according to sources. The funds would be used to pay users.<\/p>\n<p>V Ventures is an existing investor in the exchange. <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/zipmex-offered-100-million-for-a-rescue-of-the-business-in-exchange-for-90-of-its-shares\">The talks between the parties had become known<\/a> in early November. Media at the time reported that among the buyer&#8217;s requirements was the platform&#8217;s top management agreeing to three-year employment contracts with a no-leave clause for the duration of the term.<\/p>\n<p>Also, the co-founders Marcus Lim, Akalarp Yimwilai and marketing director Praud Limpongpan must provide personal guarantees to cover any losses that V Ventures may incur.<\/p>\n<p>As of writing Zipmex had not commented on the deal. The latest release \u2014 from December 2 <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/zipmex-seeks-extension-of-creditor-protection-moratorium\">on the extension of the moratorium<\/a> on creditor protection until April 2, 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Zipmex faced liquidity shortfalls after problems at partners \u2014 Babel Finance and Celsius Network.
