It will comprise 7,500 NFTs.<\/p>\n<p>The series is based on the automaker&#8217;s iconic Porsche 911 model. The company calls the initiative a &#8216;fusion of the physical and digital worlds&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>The first Porsche NFT collection was designed by Hamburg-based designer and 3D artist Patrick Vogel.<\/p>\n<p>As Crypto Daily notes, the initiative marks the automaker&#8217;s move into the <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-web3\">Web3<\/a> space. Porsche aims to integrate new technologies into its business and is considering moving its supply chain onto the blockchain.<\/p>\n<p>The company is also examining environmental sustainability issues through the Web3 lens.<\/p>\n<p>In 2021, another German carmaker \u2014 Audi \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/audi-to-release-nft-collection\">released<\/a> its own NFT collection.<\/p>\n<p>In December 2022, Timex <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/timex-to-release-limited-watch-collection-in-partnership-with-bored-ape-yacht-club\">announced<\/a> a limited-edition line of wristwatches.
