On Tuesday, December 20, an unknown purchased<\/a> an anonymous number +888 8 888 on the Fragment blockchain platform for 300 000 TON (more than $730 000 at the rate at the time of the deal).<\/p>\n

\\n\\n\\n\\n<\/p>\n

The lot became the most expensive on the platform since its launch<\/a> on October 27. The previous record belonged to the number +888 0123 4567 \u2014 30 211 TON (about $74,000).<\/p>\n

Fragment was originally created for selling account identifiers. In early November on the platform they bought the first username<\/a> \u2014 Telegram \u2014 @auto. Its value amounted to 900 000 TON (about $1.4 million).<\/p>\n

\\n\\n\\n\\n<\/p>\n

On December 6, the messenger added the ability to register using an anonymous number<\/a> instead of a SIM card. Telegram’s team described the move as \u201ca new era of privacy\u201d.<\/p>\n

\\n\\n\\n\\n<\/p>\n

Last week, Toncoin (TON) rose 20% in 24 hours<\/a> and reached $2.85.<\/p>\n

\\n\\n\\n\\n<\/p>\n

Earlier Telegram founder Pavel Durov announced<\/a> a non-custodial wallet and decentralised apps, including DEX<\/a>, from the Telegram team.<\/p>\n
