He said so in an interview with <a href=\\\"https:\/\/iz.ru\/1446441\/2022-12-26\/vinnik-oproverg-informatciiu-o-prosbe-osvobodit-ego-pod-zalog-v-ssha\\\">Izvestia<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>According to Vinnik, his mother told him about the allegedly filed motion.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\\\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\\\">\n<p>&#8220;I did not apply to anyone regarding bail. I do not have that kind of money, so this is nonsense. After all, bail requires a large sum, and that is unrealistic,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>The Russian said that he attended the latest hearing by video and was not given the right to speak, and due to the absence of an interpreter he &#8220;did not really understand what they were talking about&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>Vinnik also <a href=\\\"https:\/\/iz.ru\/1446437\/2022-12-26\/vinnik-rasskazal-o-svoikh-probl\u00ebmakh-so-zdorovem-posle-tiurmy-ssha\\\">complained<\/a> about problems with his vision, stomach and frequent headaches.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>Earlier media citing the defendant&#8217;s lawyers said that the Russian <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/vinnik-seeks-bail-in-us-court\">allegedly asked<\/a> to be released on bail &#8220;due to the delays in the proceedings&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>As reported, Alexander Vinnik was detained in Greece in the summer of 2017. In 2020, he was extradited to France, where he was later sentenced <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/alexander-vinnik-sentenced-to-five-years-in-prison-and-a-e100000-fine\">to five years in prison and a \u20ac100,000 fine<\/a> for money laundering. The charges of extortion and creating the malicious Locky ransomware were dropped from him.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>In early August 2022, Vinnik <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/vinnik-transported-to-the-united-states-shortly-after-extradition-to-greece\">was brought to the United States<\/a>, where he faces up to 55 years in prison.
