This marks the first in-country use of<a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-a-central-bank-digital-currency-cbdc\"> CBDC<\/a> in the securities market, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cs.com.cn\/qs\/202301\/t20230116_6319196.html\"> China Securities Journal<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Clients can pay for the firm&#8217;s wealth-management products and advisory services in the digital yuan. The feature was implemented in cooperation with the Bank of China.<\/p>\n<p>Soochow Securities plans to widen the range of use cases for the digital yuan in collaboration with authorities and the financial sector.<\/p>\n<p>A week earlier, the People&apos;s Bank of China announced the inclusion of the CBDC in the monetary base.
