If inflation continues to rise, traders may reassess their positions in risk assets, including cryptocurrencies.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cCurrently, inflation is the unknown variable in the interest rate trajectory equation,\u201d Greg Magadini, Director of Derivatives at Amberdata, told <a href=\"https:\/\/decrypt.co\/338589\/bitcoin-ethereum-prices-stall-where-to-next\">Decrypt<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>According to him, US President Donald Trump is successfully keeping energy prices in check, but \u201cthis may not be enough to counteract inflation, and without a reliable Fed mandate, inflation expectations could cause chaos.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Magadini noted that on September 17, alongside the Fed&#8217;s rate decision, futures tied to Wall Street&#8217;s \u201cfear gauge\u201d (VIX) expire.
