In an attempt to cash out the digital assets, he reached out to &#8216;representatives of a crypto exchange&#8217; via a messaging app. They told him that it was necessary to &#8216;verify the crypto for legality&#8217; and sent a link allegedly to bind the wallet.<\/p>\n<p>After following it, the trader had $19 left from the total amount.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators opened a criminal case for theft of property in a particularly large amount.
