This is according to Glassnode analysts.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Despite an overhang of regulations, the application layer of <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Ethereum?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Ethereum<\/a> continues to flourish.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/NFT?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#NFT<\/a> market has seen competitor Blur take market share from leader OpenSea, driven by a strategy focused on pro traders.<\/p>\n<p>Read more in The Week On-chain?<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Rh1nwJtuzE\">https:\/\/t.co\/Rh1nwJtuzE<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 glassnode (@glassnode) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/glassnode\/status\/1630221228471402498?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 27, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>To date, intensified competition among NFT platforms has not had a broad impact on Ethereum&#8217;s on-chain metrics.<\/p>\n<p>In examining gas usage patterns, analysts found an uptick in NFT-related transactions. After a sharp drop into December, the indicator has nearly doubled over the past two months. Previously, over nine months, the metric ranged from 10 to 20 Gwei, except for periods associated with <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/changpeng-zhao-refutes-rumors-of-liquidity-problems-at-binance\">FUD around Binance<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/ftx-group-files-for-bankruptcy-sam-bankman-fried-resigns-as-ceo\">the collapse of FTX<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The rising gas demand suggests that on-chain activity could resume in the near term, according to analysts.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/insights.glassnode.com\/content\/images\/2023\/02\/Group-2825.png\" alt=\"Glassnode: \u0430\u0436\u0438\u043e\u0442\u0430\u0436 \u0432\u043e\u043a\u0440\u0443\u0433 Blur \u043f\u043e\u0439\u0434\u0435\u0442 \u043d\u0430 \u043f\u043e\u043b\u044c\u0437\u0443 Ethereum\"\/><figcaption>Data: Glassnode.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>Growth in demand for block space has yet to translate into faster Ethereum adoption. The number of new addresses remains about 40% below February\u2019s levels from last year. The monthly average remains below the yearly figure, signaling negative momentum. A leap from 44% was delivered by the February 14 airdrop.<\/p>\n<p>OpenSea&#8217;s market share in the same period collapsed from 36% to 15%. On February 17, the former market leader revised its policy.
