{"id":74808,"date":"2023-03-01T11:54:55","date_gmt":"2023-03-01T09:54:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=74808"},"modified":"2025-09-10T01:51:06","modified_gmt":"2025-09-09T22:51:06","slug":"microbt-unveils-modular-water-cooled-mining-system","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/microbt-unveils-modular-water-cooled-mining-system\/","title":{"rendered":"MicroBT unveils modular, water-cooled mining system"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MicroBT has developed a modular Bitcoin-mining system with water cooling, a company spokesperson told ForkLog.<\/p>\n<p>The hardware solution consists of three main components:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>An ASIC miner, the Whatsminer M53 or M3;<\/li>\n<li>a 19-inch server rack for housing them, as well as a distribution and cooling-control module (CDU);<\/li>\n<li>a heat-exchange system.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh4.googleusercontent.com\/ewxXUY4UmaVfcTCC2ZReaVf7Y0Pd5aehdTr_Q81W5QNWEWkrWaY7y225PvamVJxlaSKXRPY5Jr3f_zXWNV2IzArvDuKGWTvHvY44y8zXo_IxP3hjrlbid8YNYBqIhW3KJhIuzHAOb4KwMjpomFkrSdE\" alt=\"MicroBT unveils water-cooled mining system\"\/><figcaption>Data: MicroBT.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The company notes that the solution offers several advantages over air-cooled miners:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>improved operational stability;<\/li>\n<li>the ability to overclock devices to boost <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-are-hashrate-and-mining-difficulty-in-cryptocurrencies\">hashrate<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li>the ability to utilise the dissipated heat.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In October 2022, MicroBT, together with Heat Core <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/microbt-and-heat-core-launch-pilot-for-heat-recovery-from-bitcoin-miners\">launched a pilot project in the United States<\/a> for hydro cooling of mining equipment and <span data-descr=\"process of heat recovery\" class=\"old_tooltip\">recuperation<\/span> of dissipated heat.<\/p>\n<p>The Whatsminer M53 with liquid cooling, designed for mounting in server racks, <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/microbt-unveils-bitcoin-miners-in-the-whatsminer-m50-series\">unveiled in April last year<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MicroBT has created a modular Bitcoin-mining system with water cooling.
