The services will be available to new and existing institutional investors.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\\\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\\\">\n<p>\u201cCoinbase and ORDAM share a philosophy rooted in prudent risk management\u2014a trait that has enabled both firms to weather recent market turbulence,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>One River Digital is a subsidiary of One River Asset Management. <a href=\\\"https:\/\/www.prnewswire.com\/news-releases\/one-river-digital-asset-management-welcomes-jay-clayton-kevin-hassett-and-jon-orszag-to-newly-formed-academic-and-regulatory-advisory-council-301257503.html\\\">\u0447\u0438\u0441\u043b\u0435<\/a> advisers include former chair Jay Clayton of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.<\/p>\n<p>In 2020 ORDAM <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/billionaire-alan-howard-backs-hedge-fund-that-invested-600-million-in-bitcoin\">supported<\/a> billionaire Alan Howard. He invested in the company\u2019s funds, and also acquired an equity stake in the business.<\/p>\n<p>In September 2021 One River Digital <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/one-river-digital-raises-41-million-from-coinbase-and-goldman-sachs\">raised $41 million<\/a> in a Series A funding round with participation from Coinbase Ventures and Goldman Sachs.<\/p>\n<p>As reported, Coinbase&#8217;s net loss in the fourth quarter of 2022 <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/coinbase-reports-557-million-loss-in-q4\">amounted to $557 million<\/a> or $2.46 per share, which beat market expectations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>American Bitcoin exchange Coinbase has acquired the crypto-asset management company One River Digital Asset Management (ORDAM).
