The sidechain is built on the Tendermint protocol and uses <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/developers-unveil-alpha-version-of-ethereum-compatible-ethermint-protocol\">Ethermint<\/a> for compatibility with the EVM.<\/p>\n<p>Block generation time is 5.4 seconds. Finalization occurs after it is included in the blockchain and confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>As of writing,<a href=\"https:\/\/evm-sidechain.xrpl.org\/\"> \u0441\u0435\u0442\u044c \u0441\u0444\u043e\u0440\u043c\u0438\u0440\u043e\u0432\u0430\u043b\u0430<\/a> 2 487 215 blocks and has carried out 16 951 transactions.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the ability to interact with the sidechain was provided in <span data-descr=\"developer network\" class=\"old_tooltip\">devnet<\/span>.
