The latter include fractional-reserve banking, insurance, bonds, tokenised products and margin loans.<\/p>\n<p>The patent is designed to facilitate transactions in a networked computing environment suited to token requirements. The system\u2019s architecture is oriented toward this aim.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh4.googleusercontent.com\/GNLAtRkqubj3r-SN-eiHy1RVc9XWkuMBxUSuItDNLqW9tlklzwVVRkyIvecVgcwTd6F8miZZHZDXkize5vYVidC4B4BQTnDs1vO2kJO2G7D5q6xDUTFdNKnfZ61VLisbc2u_cD2se_xpTozpP3Swh98\" alt=\"Goldman Sachs files patent for blockchain-based interbank settlements\"\/><figcaption>Data: Goldman Sachs.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Earlier it emerged that the institution <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/goldman-sachs-to-boost-investments-in-the-crypto-industry-amid-ftx-collapse\">is ready to invest<\/a> in crypto projects, whose valuations fell after <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/ftx-group-files-for-bankruptcy-sam-bankman-fried-resigns-as-ceo\">the collapse of FTX<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>According to Matthew McDermott, head of the digital assets division, the firm intends to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2023\/02\/10\/goldman-sachs-digital-asset-chief-lays-out-blockchain-strategy.html\">expand the staff<\/a> from the current 70 employees.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in June 2022, Goldman Sachs <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/goldman-sachs-launches-ethereum-based-non-deliverable-forwards\">presented<\/a> non-deliverable forwards (NDFs) based on Ethereum.
