According to the report, the infrastructure solutions employed by large corporations have moved from private to open, easy-to-adapt variants.<\/p>\n
This enables broader participation by individuals and new businesses, but hands disproportionately more power to Web 2.0<\/a> companies, which run networks or facilitate their development.<\/p>\n Corporations have also shifted emphasis from tangible assets to intangible assets such as the deployment of new technologies to sustain competitiveness. Over decades the world has moved from the internet to decentralised solutions.<\/p>\n In terms of consumers, such changes in business have amplified the influence that the voice of the individual can have on a company’s strategy.
