Instead, the world should focus on using the technology for the benefit of society.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cI don&#8217;t think asking any particular group to pause AI will solve the problems. \u2026 Clearly there are enormous benefits in these things; we need to identify the hard areas,\u201d Gates said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>He also believes that the specifics of any pause would be hard to implement.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cI really don&#8217;t understand who could stop, and whether every country in the world would agree to stop, and why this should be done,\u201d Gates said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Earlier the businessman <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/bill-gates-says-gpt-is-the-most-important-breakthrough-since-the-graphical-user-interface-in-1980\">wrote<\/a> in his blog that artificial intelligence can be used in many areas that will benefit. As examples, he cited education, the global health care system, and climate change.<\/p>\n<p>According to Gates, the importance of AI lies not only in improving specific areas. He also wrote that it is essential to ensure that everyone, not just the well-off, benefits from artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n<p>Gates acknowledged that AI systems are imperfect. But those who call for a pause should remember:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cAI still does not control the physical world and cannot set its own goals.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In March, more than a thousand AI experts urged <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/hundreds-of-experts-call-for-a-six-month-pause-on-training-the-gpt-4-successor\">to pause the development of large language models<\/a> for six months. Among the signatories were Elon Musk and Steve Wozniak.<\/p>\n<p>Two days later, another group of experts <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/experts-criticise-plan-to-pause-ai-research\">criticised the initiative<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of March in Italy, <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/italy-blocks-chatgpt-over-privacy-concerns\">blocked ChatGPT<\/a> at the authorities&#8217; request.
