Independent researchers may report vulnerabilities in OpenAI&#8217;s systems in exchange for cash rewards ranging from $200 to $20 000.<\/p>\n<p>The company said the program is part of its \u201ccommitment to developing safe and advanced AI\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>However, the developers listed a number of threats whose discovery will not be rewarded. The official program page notes:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\\\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\\\">\n<p>\u00abIssues related to the content of prompts and model responses are strictly out of scope and will not be rewarded unless they have an additional directly verifiable impact on safety within the service\u00bb.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Issues outside the scope of the program include:<\/p>\n<ul class=\\\"wp-block-list\\\">\n<li>jailbreaks and security bypasses;<\/li>\n<li>coercing the model to \u201csay bad things\u201d;<\/li>\n<li>generation of malicious code.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\\\"https:\/\/venturebeat.com\/security\/openai-announces-bug-bounty-program-to-address-ai-security-risks\/\\\" target=\\\"_blank\\\" rel=\\\"noopener nofollow\\\" title=\\\"\\\">Some experts \u0437\u0430\u044f\u0432\u0438\u043b\u0438<\/a>, that the initiative is unlikely to fully address the broad range of cybersecurity risks.
