The Block reports <a href=\\\"https:\/\/www.theblock.co\/post\/225992\/aptos-labs-artists\\\">The Block<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Interested participants can register on the <a href=\\\"https:\/\/aptosfoundation.org\/grants\\\">Aptos Foundation website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Project representatives noted that the fund would provide both financing and &#8220;access to the infrastructure&#8221; needed for &#8220;maximum engagement&#8221; with the ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p>The company previously allocated $3 million to a similar initiative.<\/p>\n<p>Aptos is a blockchain platform based on the AptosBFT consensus algorithm, using the Move programming language. The project was founded by former Diem employees\u2014the Meta-backed network, which was closed in early 2022.<\/p>\n<p>As market activity picked up, Aptos&#8217;s native token (APT) <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/aptos-token-price-surges-more-than-400-in-a-month\">rose by 416%<\/a> in January 2023. By market capitalization, the platform surpassed Stellar and Bitcoin Cash, nearing Ethereum Classic and Monero, crossing the $3 billion threshold.<\/p>\n<p>In February Aptos Labs <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/aptos-labs-backs-a-web3-rival-to-tiktok\">invested<\/a> in the Indian Web3-based social network Chingari, which positions itself as a competitor to TikTok.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Aptos blockchain will award a $20 million grant to Web3 artists as part of a campaign to attract new network participants.
