The tool is accessible via the <span data-descr=\"Application Programming Interface \u2014 description of how one computer program interacts with another\" class=\"old_tooltip\">API<\/span>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">We\u2019re announcing Amazon Bedrock\u2014giving customers the easiest way to build and scale generative AI applications with access to the leading foundation models including <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AnthropicAI?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@AnthropicAI<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AI21Labs?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@AI21Labs<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/StabilityAI?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@StabilityAI<\/a> and Amazon Titan FMs. Choice rules!<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Oon4UYgapN\">https:\/\/t.co\/Oon4UYgapN<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Adam Selipsky (@aselipsky) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/aselipsky\/status\/1646498345563860992?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 13, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>AWS customers can use Bedrock to create chatbots, write and summarise text, and classify images from text prompts.<\/p>\n<p>The service offers users a choice of the base Amazon Titan (FM) model and developments from a number of startups, including:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Claude from Anthropic \u2014 a competitor to ChatGPT by former OpenAI employees, backed by Google;<\/li>\n<li>Jurassic-2 from AI21 \u2014 a model supporting Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian and Dutch;<\/li>\n<li>Stable Diffusion \u2014 a popular open-source image generator.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Companies and developers can prohibit models from using their data to train algorithms. In theory this should address privacy concerns for users providing sensitive data to neural networks.<\/p>\n<p>Amazon sees the lineup of AI models as a way to give customers flexibility.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cWith the serverless Bedrock experience, you can quickly get started,\u201d the announcement said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2023\/04\/13\/aws-launches-bedrock-generative-ai-service-titan-llms.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"\">CNBC article<\/a> by Amazon CEO Andy Jassy, training language models that are truly good requires billions of dollars and many years.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cMost companies don\u2019t want to go through that. \u2026 They want to work with a base model that is already large and good, and then be able to tailor it for their own purposes. That\u2019s what Bedrock is,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>According to Amazon, companies C3.ai, Pegasystems, Accenture and Deloitte were among the first users of the service. However, the tech giant has not yet announced prices for the toolkit.
