In a message to shareholders, the top executive warned of a possible liquidation process.<\/p>\n<p>According to the report, Zipmex faced liquidity constraints after problems at its partners \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.news\/babel-finance-priostanovil-vyplaty-i-vyvod-sredstv\/\">Babel Finance<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.news\/celsius-podala-zayavlenie-o-bankrotstve\/\">Celsius Network<\/a>. On 20 July 2022 it suspended withdrawals, citing a circumstance beyond its control.<\/p>\n<p>A few days later the exchange<a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/zipmex-cryptocurrency-exchange-partially-resumes-withdrawals\"> partially resumed<\/a> deposits and withdrawals, and later turned to the Singapore court<a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/zipmex-the-thai-cryptocurrency-exchange-seeks-court-protection-from-creditors\"> for protection from creditors<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>On August 15, the platform secured <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.news\/zipmex-dobilas-prodleniya-moratoriya-na-zashhitu-ot-kreditorov\/\">an extension of the moratorium to December 2<\/a>. It was later extended initially<a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/zipmex-seeks-extension-of-creditor-protection-moratorium\"> to April 2<\/a>, and subsequently to April 23.<\/p>\n<p>Zipmex aims to secure another extension of the deadline.<\/p>\n<p>As the deal with V Ventures becomes increasingly likely to fail, the platform has identified at least two potential investors in Thailand, the letter says.<\/p>\n<p>The Securities and Exchange Commission of Thailand <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/thai-sec-files-police-complaint-against-zipmex-and-co-founder-akalarp-yimvilaiya\"> has filed a police report<\/a> against Zipmex and its co-founder \u0410\u043a\u0430\u043b\u0430\u0440\u043f\u0430 \u0419\u0438\u043c\u0432\u0438\u043b\u0430\u0439\u044f.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>V Ventures proposed to Zipmex creditors to buy the Thai cryptocurrency exchange&#8217;s obligations at a rate of 10\u201320 cents per dollar.
