The sports brand Nike unveiled a new collection of non-fungible tokens (NFT<\/a>) in the form of digital sneakers \u2014 Our Force 1. This is stated in the company’s blog<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The company will release NFTs on its Web3<\/a>-platform Swoosh, which announced<\/a> in November 2022.<\/p>\n

Before the launch of the collectible tokens, the company will also conduct airdrop<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\\”To thank and celebrate our first generation of Swoosh participants, we will randomly award the community 106,453 OF1 posters. This means you have about a 1 in 3 chance of receiving the drop,\\” the blog says.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

These posters guarantee access to the future OF1 collection, and also entitle holders to participate in sales and other company events.<\/p>\n

The first wave of digital sneaker sales will begin on May 8 at 19:00 (Kyiv\/Moscow time) and run until May 10. The price of the ‘virtual shoeboxes’ is $19.82.<\/p>\n

Each box unlocks various digital versions of the iconic Nike Air Force 1 sneakers, first released in 1982.<\/p>\n

According to on-chain data, by August 2022 fashion brands Dolce & Gabbana, Tiffany, Gucci, Adidas and Nike collectively generated $260 million in revenue<\/a> from selling non-fungible tokens.<\/p>\n
