This was reported by<a href=\\\"https:\/\/www.theblock.co\/post\/228149\/animoca-tinytap-education\\\"> The Block<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Other investors include Liberty City Ventures, Kingsway Capital and Shima Capital.<\/p>\n<p>TinyTap&#8217;s chief executive Yogev Shelly said that the financing was carried out through <span data-descr=\\\"simple agreement for future equity\\\" class=\\\"old_tooltip\\\">SAFE<\/span> and <span data-descr=\\\"simple agreement for future tokens\\\" class=\\\"old_tooltip\\\">SAFT<\/span> agreements.<\/p>\n<p>The company was founded in 2012 in Israel. It offers a library of more than 250,000 educational games in 24 languages for children and teenagers.<\/p>\n<p>Animoca acquired TinyTap in July 2022 for about $39 million, buying 84% of the company&#8217;s shares. According to Shelly, the company began fundraising in October and closed it in February.<\/p>\n<p>The organization will channel the proceeds into expanding existing infrastructure and to grow in the <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-web3\">Web3<\/a>-sector.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;As a profitable Web 2.0 business, we need sufficient funding to continue growing. Now TinyTap will develop the Web3 side of the project,&#8221; said the founder in response to questions about the goals of the funding round.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>TinyTap will offer students custodial wallets for storing tokens and credentials, as well as access to PublisherNFT \u2014 an educational program based on <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-are-nfts\">non-fungible tokens<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The company also has plans for decentralising the education system, to be announced later.<\/p>\n<p>In February, New York University&#8217;s School of Professional Studies <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/new-york-university-to-launch-web3-course-in-partnership-with-near-foundation\">announced<\/a> a Web3 course in partnership with <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-the-near-protocol-blockchain-and-cryptocurrency\">the NEAR blockchain<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TinyTap, the subsidiary of Animoca Brands, raised $8.5 million from Sequoia China and Polygon at a $100 million valuation.
