{"id":78034,"date":"2023-04-28T17:28:35","date_gmt":"2023-04-28T14:28:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=78034"},"modified":"2025-09-11T02:36:19","modified_gmt":"2025-09-10T23:36:19","slug":"visa-unveils-platform-for-brazils-cbdc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/visa-unveils-platform-for-brazils-cbdc\/","title":{"rendered":"Visa unveils platform for Brazil&#8217;s CBDC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The payments giant Visa has developed a suite of solutions to integrate the central bank digital currency (<a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-a-central-bank-digital-currency-cbdc\">CBDC<\/a>) into Brazil&#8217;s financial ecosystem, according to the local outlet <a href=\\\"https:\/\/livecoins.com.br\/visa-apresenta-projeto-de-integracao-com-real-digital\/\\\">Livecoins<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>After several months of research, the company unveiled a programmable platform designed for small and medium-sized enterprises.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the initiative, Visa collaborated with Agrotoken, Microsoft and Sinqia.<\/p>\n<p>The company said that the digital real platform would be particularly interesting to private farmers and agricultural businesses.<\/p>\n<p>The development \u00abexpands access to global capital markets, facilitates interaction between currencies, improves operational processes and opens new opportunities for economic growth\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the payments company developed a new smart-contract-based technology for closed-bid auctions, which allows \u00aba global pool of investors to participate in the financing process, achieving a competitive price\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>The service is built on the Universal Payment Channel technology and uses a transaction-verification mechanism from Microsoft.<\/p>\n<p>According to Visa representatives, the functionality will allow businesses to use the digital real across multiple markets and networks, and will also \u00abreduce the inconveniences caused by a lack of access to traditional services\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>The Central Bank of Brazil <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/brazilian-central-bank-to-launch-digital-real-in-2024\">had planned<\/a> to launch the CBDC in 2024.
