{"id":78226,"date":"2023-05-03T14:43:00","date_gmt":"2023-05-03T11:43:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=78226"},"modified":"2025-09-11T03:49:29","modified_gmt":"2025-09-11T00:49:29","slug":"bitflyer-usa-fined-1-2-million","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/bitflyer-usa-fined-1-2-million\/","title":{"rendered":"BitFlyer USA fined $1.2 million"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The New York State Department of Financial Services (NYDFS) <a href=\\\"https:\/\/www.dfs.ny.gov\/system\/files\/documents\/2023\/05\/ea20230502_bitflyer_usa_inc.pdf\\\">\u043e\u0448\u0442\u0440\u0430\u0444\u043e\u0432\u0430\u043b<\/a> the cryptocurrency exchange bitFlyer USA $1.2 million for failing to comply with the state&#8217;s cybersecurity requirements.<\/p>\n<p>The regulator identified the violation despite the platform holding a license in New York.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, NYDFS acknowledged bitFlyer USA&#8217;s efforts to bolster cybersecurity. The exchange presented the regulator with a remediation plan aimed at bringing the company into compliance with the state&#8217;s cybersecurity laws by the end of the year.<\/p>\n<p>In February, NYDFS <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/bloomberg-new-york-regulator-opens-investigation-into-paxos\">initiated an investigation<\/a> into the infrastructure company Paxos, which is the issuer of the Pax Dollar and Binance USD stablecoins.
