In an interview with <a href=\\\"https:\/\/www.handelsblatt.com\/politik\/international\/kryptowaehrung-liechtenstein-will-staatliche-dienstleistungen-kuenftig-auch-in-bitcoin-bezahlen-lassen\/29134712.html\\\">Handelsblatt<\/a>, the country\u2019s prime minister Daniel Risch said.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\\\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\\\">\n<p>\\&#8221;The possibility of paying with Bitcoin will appear soon,\\&#8221; he said, without giving a specific timeframe.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>The publication noted that a similar approach is used by some Swiss municipalities, in particular, <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/swiss-canton-of-zug-allows-paying-taxes-with-bitcoin-and-ethereum\">the canton of Zug<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>Risch also did not exclude that the state could invest part of its reserves in Bitcoin.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>Liechtenstein is a crypto-friendly jurisdiction. In 2019 the country\u2019s parliament passed the Blockchain Act (Liechtenstein Blockchain Act), which created a regulated environment for providers of services related to digital assets.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>In May 2022, LGT Bank, belonging to Liechtenstein&#8217;s princely house, offered crypto custody services to private clients, as well as <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/liechtensteins-princely-family-bank-to-offer-bitcoin-investments-for-private-clients\">the possibility of investing in Bitcoin and Ethereum<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Liechtenstein government will allow citizens to use Bitcoin to pay for government services.
