The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/b6802c8f-50e7-4df8-8682-cca794881e30\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"\">Financial Times<\/a> reports this.<\/p>\n<p>The removals occurred after streaming services began receiving complaints of fraud and disorder on platforms. According to FT sources, the music-industry giant Universal Music Group (UMG) warned streaming-service providers of &#8216;suspicious activity&#8217; on Boomy tracks.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, the platform removed AI-generated compositions due to suspicions of artificial inflation of streams via bots.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;Artificial streaming is a long-standing industry-wide problem, and Spotify is working to stamp it out in our service,&#8221; the company said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Representatives of Boomy rejected the allegations and said they were &#8216;categorically opposed&#8217; to any manipulation or boosting.<\/p>\n<p>Universal Music Group chief executive Lucian Grainge told investors:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;The explosive growth of generative AI, if left unchecked, will increase the volume of unwanted content on platforms and create copyright problems.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Earlier in April, UMG urged streaming services <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/universal-music-urges-streaming-platforms-to-block-ai-generated-music\">to remove music<\/a>, created by AI.<\/p>\n<p>The label also urged blocking access to its catalog for developers of generative algorithms.<\/p>\n<p>In the same month, the singer Grimes backed AI-generated creativity.
