{"id":78547,"date":"2023-05-10T14:30:26","date_gmt":"2023-05-10T11:30:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=78547"},"modified":"2025-09-11T05:49:16","modified_gmt":"2025-09-11T02:49:16","slug":"ibm-unveils-watsonx-ai-platform-for-business","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/ibm-unveils-watsonx-ai-platform-for-business\/","title":{"rendered":"IBM unveils watsonx AI platform for business"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>IBM has launched watsonx, an AI and data-management platform designed to help companies integrate AI into their business. <a href=\\\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/technology\/ibm-unveils-new-watsonx-ai-data-platform-2023-05-09\/\\\" target=\\\"_blank\\\" rel=\\\"noopener nofollow\\\" title=\\\"\\\">Reuters<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>According to the announcement, companies can use watsonx to train and deploy AI algorithms, automatically generate code, and use a range of large language models.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>The platform consists of three main components:<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<ul class=\\\"wp-block-list\\\">\n<li>watsonx.ai for creating new foundational models, generative AI, and machine learning;<\/li>\n<li>watsonx.data, providing flexibility and performance for data storage;<\/li>\n<li>watsonx.governance, enabling AI workflows built with transparency.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>The platform&#8217;s launch comes more than a decade after IBM&#8217;s Watson program drew attention for its Jeopardy win. At the time, the tech giant said the software could \u201clearn\u201d and process human language. But the high cost of development hindered its use by companies.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>However, cheaper AI-model development increases IBM&#8217;s odds of success, said CEO Arvind Krishna.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\\\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\\\">\n<p>\u201cWhen something becomes 100 times cheaper, it truly creates an entirely different appeal.
