{"id":78841,"date":"2023-05-17T09:53:19","date_gmt":"2023-05-17T06:53:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=78841"},"modified":"2025-09-11T07:38:50","modified_gmt":"2025-09-11T04:38:50","slug":"auradine-raises-81-million-in-series-a-round-led-by-celesta-capital-and-mayfield-with-marathon-digital-also-investing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/auradine-raises-81-million-in-series-a-round-led-by-celesta-capital-and-mayfield-with-marathon-digital-also-investing\/","title":{"rendered":"Auradine raises $81 million in Series A round led by Celesta Capital and Mayfield, with Marathon Digital also investing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The privacy- and AI-focused blockchain project Auradine <a href=\"https:\/\/www.globenewswire.com\/news-release\/2023\/05\/16\/2670109\/0\/en\/Auradine-Raises-81-Million-in-Series-A-Financing-for-Next-Generation-Web-Infrastructure.html\">closed<\/a> a Series A round of $81 million led by venture firms Celesta Capital and Mayfield.<\/p>\n<p>Marathon Digital Holdings, a cryptocurrency mining company, also invested in the startup alongside Stanford University, Cota Capital and DCVC.<\/p>\n<p>Auradine is developing &#8216;breakthrough solutions in scalability, resilience, and security&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>The company is based in Santa Clara, California, and counts more than 40 employees, including software engineers and cybersecurity specialists from Palo Alto Networks, Marvell, Intel, Google and Wells Fargo.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;Our first product will be a system-level software solution with cloud-storage management capabilities, oriented toward blockchain security applications,&#8221; said Rajiv Khimani, co-founder and CEO of Auradine.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The startup plans to roll out its first product in the summer of 2023 and will focus on serving clients in the financial sector and healthcare.<\/p>\n<p>Khimani previously was a cofounder and CEO of Innovium, a silicon-chip maker for cloud companies. In 2021, Marvell Technology <a href=\"https:\/\/www.barrons.com\/articles\/marvell-semiconductor-stock-innovium-merger-51627951457\">acquired<\/a> the firm for $1.1 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Shriram Vishwanathan, managing partner at Celesta Capital, and Navin Chadha, a director at Mayfield, will also join Auradine&#8217;s board.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in May, River Financial <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/bitcoin-startup-river-financial-raises-35-million-in-series-b-round-with-peter-thiel-among-investors\">raised $35 million<\/a> in a Series B round led by Kingsway Capital.
