Other governance proposals approved by users allowed the use of <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-are-stablecoins\">stablecoins<\/a> USD Coin (<a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-the-usdc-stablecoin\">USDC<\/a>) and <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-tether-usdt\">USDT<\/a> from Tether for deposits and withdrawals via an interoperability solution with Ethereum.<\/p>\n<p>Protocol users gained the ability to create decentralized markets. Initially, the network will support only cash-settled futures. They also intend to implement a software option called Wendy to protect traders from <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-mev-in-ethereum\"><span data-descr=\"Maximal Extractable Value\" class=\"old_tooltip\">MEV<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The project published a <a href=\"https:\/\/vega.xyz\/papers\/vega-protocol-whitepaper.pdf\">white paper<\/a> in 2018; the mainnet began operating on May 10, 2023.
