In June 2022, the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/cftc-sues-gemini-the-winklevoss-twins-cryptocurrency-exchange\">filed suit<\/a> against Gemini. The filings alleged that the platform misled the agency regarding bitcoin futures contracts.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>In January, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/sec-accuses-gemini-of-selling-unregistered-securities\">charged<\/a> Gemini with selling unregistered securities.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>In the spring, the company <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/gemini-unveils-plans-to-open-an-office-in-india\">announced<\/a> plans to open an office in India as part of expansion in the Asia-Pacific region.
