According to the developers, this allows inheriting the security of the underlying blockchain at lower costs.<\/p>\n<p>In the first phase, the team will launch Kakarot zkEVM in <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-a-layer%e2%80%912-solution-in-blockchain\">L2 network<\/a> StarkNet, which is backed by StarkWare.<\/p>\n<p>Developers of EVM-compatible applications will be able to create and deploy them using languages common in the Ethereum ecosystem, such as Solidity, and the familiar toolchain.<\/p>\n<p>In the second phase, Kakarot Labs, in collaboration with the Madara team, will implement zkEVM for third-tier and higher networks. It is expected to exponentially reduce gas costs and boost throughput in <span data-descr=\\\"transactions per second\\\" class=\\\"old_tooltip\\\">TPS<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>For the third phase, the partners have set the task of developing a zkEVM client capable of validating blocks of the Layer-1 blockchain.
