The exchange&#8217;s trading and deposits features will be frozen.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;While Binance has explored a number of alternative ways to serve residents of the Netherlands in accordance with the rules, it has, unfortunately, not led to VASP registration,&#8221; the company said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Representatives said they will continue to engage with local regulators. For now the platform will focus on the EU-wide rules <span data-descr=\"Markets in Crypto Assets \u2014 'markets in crypto assets'\" class=\"old_tooltip\">MiCA<\/span>, <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/eu-approves-regulation-of-the-crypto-industry\">adopted<\/a> on 20 April.<\/p>\n<p>Binance said the exchange already meets EU standards for anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism. The company holds licenses in several European countries, including <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/binance-secures-digital-asset-service-provider-license-in-france\">France<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.io\/binance-poluchila-litsenziyu-provajdera-tsifrovyh-aktivov-v-italii\/\">\u0418\u0442\u0430\u043b\u0438\u044e<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.news\/binance-poluchila-litsenziyu-provajdera-tsifrovyh-aktivov-v-ispanii\/\">\u0418\u0441\u043f\u0430\u043d\u0438\u044e<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/binance-wins-approval-to-operate-in-poland-as-a-virtual-asset-service-provider\">Poland<\/a>, Sweden and Lithuania.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier the exchange <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/binance-to-delist-privacy-coins-in-four-eu-countries\">delisted<\/a> 12 confidential tokens in four EU countries as part of regulatory compliance.<\/p>\n<p>Binance also <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/binance-seeks-to-withdraw-its-cyprus-registration\">withdrew its registration<\/a> in Cyprus to focus on engaging with a smaller number of regulators in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier on June 5, <span data-descr=\"U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission\" class=\"old_tooltip\">SEC<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/sec-files-suit-against-binance-and-changpeng-zhao\">filed suit<\/a> against the exchange and its CEO Changpeng Zhao.
