{"id":80839,"date":"2023-06-27T17:18:44","date_gmt":"2023-06-27T14:18:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=80839"},"modified":"2025-09-11T19:25:16","modified_gmt":"2025-09-11T16:25:16","slug":"mythical-games-a-web3-game-developer-raises-37-million","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/mythical-games-a-web3-game-developer-raises-37-million\/","title":{"rendered":"Mythical Games, a Web3-game developer, raises $37 million"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Video-game <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-web3\">Web3<\/a>-company Mythical Games closed its Series C1 investment round at $37 million led by Scytale Digital, according to <a href=\\\"https:\/\/www.theblock.co\/post\/236522\/__trashed-5\\\">The Block<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>Among other participants: ARK Invest, Animoca Brands, PROOF, Stanford Athletics and MoonPay, as well as current beneficiaries including Andreessen Horowitz, WestCap, Gaingels, Signum Growth and Struck Capital.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>In 2021 the startup <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/mythical-games-raises-150-million-at-1-25-billion-valuation\">raised $150 million<\/a> for the launch of the multiplayer game Blankos Block Party with <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-are-nfts\">non-fungible tokens<\/a> and a platform for creating similar apps. At that time the company was valued at $1.25 billion.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>In January 2023 reports emerged that Mythical Games was considering raising <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/media-mythical-games-plans-to-raise-50-million\">additional $50 million<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>The funds will be used to scale its games and broaden its audience.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\\\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\\\"><p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have a network up and running, a market, we have games, and we think we have a good strategy to bring the company to profitability.
